How to substitute eggs in cakes?
The most commonly used egg alternatives for cakes will be silken tofu, yogurt, pureed fruit, vinegar (in specific recipes, strictly not for recipes that uses more than 1 egg).
Personally, I found a winning combination to substitute for eggs in cakes, which is a mix of yogurt and pureed silken tofu. It works out beautifully, especially in plain vanilla sponge cakes.

What is the ratio of silken tofu and yogurt as you use it?

I use it equally. For example if a cake/cupcake recipe calls for 2 eggs, I would use 1/4 cup pureed silken tofu and 1/4 cup yogurt.

Hello,
I have made your blueberry pound cake several times for my grandson who has an egg allergy. I've even used that recipe to make baked donuts. It's a great recipe.
I was wondering if it's possible to turn that cake into a chocolate pound cake minus the blueberries of course.

Thanks, Jackie. I think you can try replacing 1/2 of all-purpose flour with unsweetened cocoa powder to make it a chocolate pound cake. It should work.
