Hi! I love cooking with your recipes. You are my go-to site for all my baking.
My husband brought home some COCONUT FLOUR....What do I do with it?
Do you have any cookies, muffins, cake recipes I can use this flour in?
How do I make substitutions? Thank you.
Madhuram says
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Since coconut flour is gluten-free we cannot simply use it in place of all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour. It needs egg. Without eggs and using gluten-free flour is very tricky. It can be done but needs quite a bit of experimenting. I do not have any recipes using coconut flour because of the same reason.

Hi Dharani. I will definitely post such recipes and in the meanwhile check out my another blog http://www.VegCorner.com for healthy vegetarian recipes.

Hello I'm looking for a cookbook for people who are allegic to egg and soy stuff and peanuts. I need a cookbook to cook for my son because he can't have any egg or sy or peanuts whatsoever.
Madhuram says
Hi Courtney, your best bet is to get vegan cookbooks like Vegan Planet, Veganomicon, Vegan Lunch Box etc. If he is not allergic to dairy it's pretty easy to cook/bake for him. Even otherwise you could try almond/rice/coconut milk and the likes. If you have a Whole Foods nearby that should become your favorite store. They have endless options.
