Method: Juicing
Course: Juices
Servings: 250ml
Ingredients
5cupsorganic baby spinach(can use a combination of spinach and kale)
5leaveslettuce(can add celery too)
½countorganic green apple
2countorganic baby cucumbers
½inchginger
½countlemon
Instructions
Follow the instructions of your juicer to make the juice. I folded the baby spinach leaves and pushed it down the chute with the Food pusher. I also rolled the lettuce leaves vertically and pushed it down the chute. I cut the cucumber vertically and used the "soft" mode for all these greens and veggies. Apples can be used with the skin if using organic. Cut into segments and push it down. The "hard" mode is used for fruits like apple and vegetables like beets and carrots. That's also listed in the manual.
If you don't have a juicer, you will have to blend all the ingredients with enough water, blend it smooth and use a sieve to strain the pulp to get the juice.
Notes
Unlike baking or cooking, juicing is a flexible art. The Mean Green Juice recipe is a fantastic base, but play around with ingredients—add more apple for sweetness, experiment with herbs like mint, or adjust ginger and lemon for personalized zing. Juicing allows you to tailor your concoction to match your unique taste preferences.
It's worth noting that standard nutritional calculators may not accurately represent the nutritional content of Mean Green Juice. These calculators typically analyze input ingredients without accounting for the fact that the juicer extracts pulp. Therefore, treat the provided nutritional information as a general reference, recognizing that the actual nutritional values may differ due to the juicing process. Adjustments may be needed based on individual preferences and the efficiency of your specific juicer.
